I provide personal attention to each client’s case, offer affordable fee structures, and am available by phone, email, appointments, Skype, and texts. When you call my office, I recognize that you are calling about something that is important, and that you should expect a return phone call. 

Throughout my career I have successfully handled hundreds of insurance claims, law suits, and court cases, many of which were  on a contingent fee basis, where the client pays only if he or she wins.  If I can not take your case as a contingent fee, I can often proceed with a set fee or reasonable hourly rates.

The claims have included complex personal injury and litigation cases, automobile, truck, bus, bicycle and pedestrian accidents, product liability, premises liability and slip and fall, consumer fraud, employment discrimination, women’s issues including sexual harassment, civil rights, religious conflicts, Department of Children and Family Services cases, police misconduct, business litigation, environmental litigation, commercial litigation, dog bites, wrongful death, real estate, and medical malpractice.

In addition to my experience with civil cases, I have represented many criminal defendants in both state and federal court.

My father was raised in Kunming China, and my mother comes from the Commonwealth of Virginia.  With a bi-cultural background I am often able to assist clients in understanding the American system, while appreciating and understanding their perspectives.

Many from the Chinese community remember my representation of Long Guang Huang, and the community’s hard work in supporting Mr. Huang. Many people calling the office are looking for  a Chinese lawyer. While I do speak some Mandarin Chinese, I work with and need the assistance of Chinese translators to make sure that Chinese clients can communicate effectively. Fortunately members of the Asian American Lawyers Association of Massachusetts are often available to represent Chinese clients.

As a woman lawyer, I provide a woman’s perspective when analyzing your case.  I am always looking for a way to resolve your case, although many cases require prolonged attention and commitment.

I served as Chief of the Civil Rights Division of the Massachusetts Office of the Attorney General, and worked at a Boston law firm specializing in complex civil litigation.  I began my career as a legal services attorney specializing injuvenile defense and education law, and was a partner at a small Boston law firm.

Currently I am focusing on litigation, particularly personal injury cases, but I continue to handle other matters, and am always happy to set up and work with a small corporation.  Many people look to me as their personal attorney, providing general practice advice and representation, as well as referrals to attorneys with other specialties.  For catastrophic claims I partner with larger firms, making it possible for you to work with me, while benefiting from the resources of a larger firm.
