Biography
I joined Safe Passage Project as a Senior Staff Attorney on December 18, 2018.
Prior to joining Safe Passage, I was engaged solely in the practice of immigration law as an associate for 6 years at The Masliah Firm (formerly Masliah & Soloway). My practice encompassed a broad range of immigration matters, including representation of clients seeking family and/or employment-based benefits, citizenship, asylum and other forms of humanitarian relief, relief from removal or deportation proceedings before the Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), and waivers of grounds of inadmissibility and prior removal or deportation. I frequently represented clients throughout the United States and abroad in relation to complex immigration and immigration-related issues, including cases that involve prior criminal charges or convictions; immigration fraud; unlawful entry; waivers of grounds of inadmissibility or deportability, including relief under former INA 212(c) and the J-1 foreign residence requirement; prior orders of removal, deportation, or exclusion; and relief from administrative removal proceedings.
I earned my LL.M in International Law & Justice from the Fordham University School of Law and a J.D. from the George Washington University Law School, where I was on the staff of the Public Contract Law Journal. As a law student, I interned with the section of the Department of Justice responsible for training and working with immigration officers charged with disrupting and dismantling human trafficking and smuggling networks abroad. I also hold a B.A. in Mathematics and English from the University of Pennsylvania.
