Biography
Wenzhao “Connie” Wang was named "America Most Honored Professionals" by American Registry since 2018, Top/Superb-Rated Lawyer by Avvo since 2011, "2011 San Diego Top Immigration Attorney," 2012 and 2011 "San Diego Top International Attorney," "2012 San Diego Top Corporate Attorney" by SD METRO magazine. She was also honored as World Outstanding Chinese in "2006 World Outstanding Chinese Yearbook" (“2006年世界杰出华人年鉴”世界杰出华人).
Connie has over 20 years of extensive international experience with an emphasis on China gained through her distinguished diplomatic and legal careers. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Connie spent 13 years as a diplomat in the Chinese Foreign Service in various capacities including serving as press officer for Chinese President Jiang Zemin during his official visits to foreign countries and as a diplomat at the Chinese Mission to the United Nations in New York. After obtaining her law degree from a top 20 US law school and before establishing US China Global Law Group, Connie worked at two AMLAW 100 international law firms in the US.
In 2006, in recognition of her role as a female industry leader, Connie was honored with the “Women to Watch Award” - Business Women 2006 by Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal. This honor was noted in “Local Lawyers Named ‘Women Industry Leaders’” by Minnesota Lawyer, featured in “Connie Wang Receives Top Business Honor” by Asian American Press, and reported in many other English and Chinese media in 2006.
Connie has served as legal counsel of China Marketing Association, a prestigious national organization in China since 2004. She is the co-founder and former president of US-China Business Connections, a nonprofit organization providing an educational and networking forum for companies and individuals interested in developing business relationships between the US and China.
Connie is a frequent speaker at seminars and workshops on Chinese business, outsourcing and investment matters in both US and China. She is a Manderin Chinese speaking lawyer licensed in multiple jurisdictions in the US.
