Mr. Dunlap is the founding partner of Dunlap & Associates.  He brings over twelve years of experience in both the private and public sector.  He is a former Assistant County Attorney and Assistant Attorney General.

He began his career in family law handling complex family law matters, including divorce, custody, child support, and protective order proceedings.  From there, while working for some of Maryland's largest and most respected  firms, he honed and broadened his skills in complex commercial and business litigation , business formation, corporate governance and compliance, contract disputes. He also specialized Estate law and Trust formation.

After five years in private practice, Mr. Dunlap entered the public sector as a government attorney for Anne Arundel County, Maryland.  Here, Mr. Dunlap advised Anne Arundel County agencies and employees, including the Department of Health, Department of Inspection and Permits, Zoning, Animal Control, the Office of Finance, and the Office of the Fire Marshall's Code enforcement section. He  specialized in land use, real estate transactions,  and building code enforcement cases.

As Assistant Attorney General, Mr. Dunlap advised the State's largest agency, the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. He represented the State in complex State and Federal cases related to the State's hospitals.  He also advised and handled contract matters.

Mr. Dunlap is also a legal advisor to the U.S. Department of Justice.
