Biography
Will Carver received Martindale's highest rating of AV in 2013. He is an extremely knowledgeable, experienced and hard-working litigation attorney who values the relationships he builds with his clients and their businesses. He is a creative problem solver who diligently focuses on understanding his clients' goals, challenges and opportunities and provides his clients effective and efficient representation. His primary areas of practice are Litigation, Employment and Labor and Local Government and Public Utilities. He also helped develop the firm's Creditor's Rights and Bankruptcy practice areas.
In 2013, Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam appointed Mr. Carver to the Tennessee Education Lottery Board of Directors. As of February 2016, the Tennessee Education Lottery has raised more than $3.5 Billion for education in the State of Tennessee.

Representative CasesHeyward v. CDM Smith, Inc., 2015 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 103314 (E.D. Tenn. August 5, 2015) Mr. Carver and Attorney Ward Phillips obtained summary dismissal of plaintiff's age and race discrimination claims against a technical services contractor.
City of Townsend v. Anthony Damico, 2014 Tenn. App. LEXIS 302 (Tenn. Ct. App. May 27, 2014) Mr. Carver and Attorney Camille Sanders successfully represented the City of Townsend, Tennessee in a trespassing matter involving water rights along the Little River in Townsend.
Clark v. G4S Government Solutions, Inc. d/b/a WSI Oak k RIdge, 2014 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 37832 (E.D. Tenn. March 21, 2014). Mr. Carver and Attorney Ward Phillips obtained summary dismissal of plaintiff's race discrimination, gender discrimination, and retaliation claims against a security contractor.
Shroyer v. Dollar Tree Stores, Inc., 2011 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 126522 (E.D. Tenn. 2011) Mr. Carver and Attorney Ward Phillips successfully received summary dismissal of plaintiff's retaliatory discharge claims.
VanBebber v. Roach, 252 S.W.3d 279 (Tenn. Ct. App. 2008) Mr. Carver and Attorney Tom Johnson obtained a favorable result for their client in an insurance coverage dispute case. This decision was published.

Representative Matters
Representative MattersMr. Carver recently represented a property owner in a lawsuit brought by someone who allegedly fell and was injured when he came onto the property to perform some maintenance. The lawsuit was pending for two years and, ultimately, a trial was held before a local jury. A verdict was rendered in favor of his client.
He also represented a national music industry company in a significant collection against a business who misappropriated copyrighted music.
