Biography
Bill Tasch is the Managing Partner at Illinois Advocates. Mr. Tasch concentrates his own practice in litigation in both state and federal court. He has practiced in courts throughout Illinois and the larger Midwest region at the trial and appellate level. Mr. Tasch frequently represents union organizations in a variety of contexts, including defense of general claims in litigation, representation on subrogation matters, and prosecuting complex ERISA funds collection suits. Mr. Tasch also represents businesses of all sizes in a variety of commercial litigation disputes. His experience includes contract issues, partnership disputes, and veil-piercing litigation. Institutional clients rely upon Mr. Tasch for advice on various compliance and litigation avoidance issues. Mr. Tasch is also experienced in real estate transactions, particularly in bank-owned (REO) sales, short-sales, and sales of investment and distressed properties. Prior to joining Illinois Advocates, Mr. Tasch was a litigation associate concentrating on litigation matters for banks and small businesses. He graduated first in his class from Bradley University and magna cum laude from the Loyola University Chicago School of Law. At Loyola, Bill was a member of the Law Review and the National Moot Court Team. While in law school, Bill worked on financial regulatory enforcement as an intern with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan. Bill was selected for the 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018 Illinois Rising Stars list by Thomson Reuters Super Lawyers Magazine. Bill lives in Wheaton, Illinois with his wife and two sons.
