An honors graduate of Harvard University and New York University, Xinying Valerian represents employees, whistleblowers and other injured persons in seeking justice and protection of their civil rights. She has successfully represented workers across the economic spectrum in class and individual actions, recovering millions of dollars. Ms. Valerian’s broad experience includes fighting independent contractor misclassification, negotiating severance agreements, litigating consumer class actions and representing the media in First Amendment cases.  Ms. Valerian is also a sought-after speaker and peer educator, called upon to present on legal topics to fellow lawyers and to provide insights to the general public. A first-generation immigrant who grew up in California, Ms. Valerian is committed to public service and fighting for the underdog for fair treatment in the workplace and marketplace.
