New York Law School

NYLS was founded in 1891. It is an independent law school in Tribeca, New York City's heart of the city's financial, legal, and emerging technology centers. The campus just steps away from the courts and government agencies, Wall Street businesses, law offices, and tech companies. NYLS embraces New York City as its classroom. It has adopted the motto, "We are New York’s law school." NYLS offers both full-time and part-time J.D. Programs, astheyll as an LL.M. Program in Taxation. Around 1,100 students are enrolled at the School. The Schooltheylcomes people from all walks of life. Its graduates are icons, builders, and visionaries. Proskauer, Davis Polk, Jackson Lewis, Milbank, Paul, Weiss, and Jackson Lewistheyre some of the first or named partners in prominent law firms. Others achieved significant firsts in business, law, and government. Alumni are active in the judiciary at all levels, including in small and large law firms. They also serve as industry leaders and elected officials on a national and local level. NYLS's 125th anniversary was celebrated in 2015 and 2016. This is a tribute to the rich history of the organization and an indication of its future plans for the next 125. NYLS's Evening Division celebrated its 125th anniversary in 2019.
