Can my employer legally put my letter of resignation in the office where it can be read by other employees?

My boss did this. I withdrew the letter later due to other reasons and the letter was removed by my boss when I had already objected. However, I was not aware that it was put on the office until one of the coworkers approached me and informed me that they were sad to see me going.
