Should I write a letter to the judge regarding my case so that he may read it in court?

I have a warrant therefore I had a motion to go to court and established a case with the judge concerning my sentencing terms and my case is three and a half years old. At last I have attended my petty larceny school and community service and I need to enquire of the judge whether I can be allowed my warrant quash and I am having 30 days suspended jail time.
