What can I do to know if my ex husband died?

This I think is the reason why he has not been able to pay alimony. Is there a phone number where I can get this information or a website that I can visit to find the information? From the mentioned sites above, I have visited all of them and I believe them to be fake. To anyone in the world, can anybody teach me how to do this? Call the LA COUNTY CORONER? Would they tell me? If you know the answer, please answer. thank you
