Is the military JAG able to file for divorce on behalf of Soldiers? So, is their decree to divorce legal?
My husband is a soldier and has served in the army for 20 Years. I have known him, and we have been seeing each other since he was parted from back in 2007. We were married in 2011 and have now two beautiful children and another coming, which he would do without. I would like to know more about what my rights are. He is submitting an uncontested divorce through Legal Assistance on post, and they could draft him a generic divorce outline of about eight pages, maybe including everything, such as debts, the amount of money he will give in support of the kids. Both of us were military, and I left after 9 years, remaining at home taking care of our young children. He simply does not want anything to do with me and only wants me to sign these papers. I constantly feel manipulated and compelled to do something I do not desire. I would like to be in a good relationship with him. Still, he has gone to great lengths to make me request him to give me a certain amount of money because he wishes that I will get it down in writing so that there can be something there that his legal advisor/lawyer at the office of legal aid can get me to do. I do not know the laws of this place in California, but I am pregnant agai,n and he does not want anything to do with this pregnancy. Please help
