Our law school offers a unique and personal education, while also drawing on the resources of a leading research university. The University of Cincinnati College of Law was established in 1833. It is the fourth oldest law school still in operation in the United States, after Yale, the University of Virginia, and Harvard. Timothy Walker founded the Cincinnati Law School with Edward King, Judge John C. Wright, and other members of the Ohio Supreme Court. It was a small law school that had 17 students. The building was located above a downtown office, in a city that was once a frontier outpost.
