University of Houston Law Center

The University of Houston was founded in 1927 and is the third-largest public university in Texas. It offers undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs. UH is located in Houston's historic Third Ward. Its footprint includes its Houston campus and important instructional sites in Katy, Sugar Land, and Katy. The Carnegie Foundation has designated UH as an R1 institution for its high research activity. It also houses a Phi Beta Kappa Chapter. UH proudly holds the designations of a Hispanic-serving Institution and Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander serving (AANAPISI), which are a testament to its dedication to creating a university environment that is supportive of students from all backgrounds. UH had more than 47,000 students enrolled in 276 undergraduate and graduate programs. Theretheyre also approximately 8,400 students who lived in nine residential communities. UH's campus life is lively and vibrant with more than 445 student organizations and 17 NCAA Division 1 Intercollegiate Sports Teams. UH's student body is second in the country among research universities because of its diversity. There are no ethnic minorities on campus and it is a global university that has students from over 130 countries.
