My parents have a Living Trust and they pay 3400 a year to keep it going. Is this normal?
I fear they are paying fees which they do not have to. I have friends who I have consulted which concerns this and was informed that their parents after establishing a Living Trust do not pay and have not paid any other charges.

Why is it more complicated to establish an irrevocable trust vs revocable Trust?
I receive relatively high premiums to set up an irrevocable living trust than I do for a revocable living trust. I understand that express and implied trusts are recognized differently by the language used, but what other reasons can explain why an a attorney takes more for irrevocable trusts.

Why is it that the creation of an irrevocable trust costs way higher than what it costs to establish a revocable trust?
The quotes I keep receiving for creating an irrevocable trust are rather unrealistic, especially compared with other types of trusts, such as revocable ones. Although I am aware that the key difference between these trusts is the language used and the ability to modify the trust, I need to know the main reasons for the additional fees that are charged for irrevocable trusts. What makes the extra expense legitimate?
